Sanjiv is the Managing Director of Janssen India. In addition, he handles the South Asian markets of Sri Lanka and Bangladesh. Sanjiv has over 24 years’ of experience in Pharmaceutical industry across various geographies with varied experience across business functions such as Sales, Marketing, Supply Chain, Finance, Strategy and General Management. Prior to joining Janssen India in August 2013, he was the Managing Director of MSD, Philippines. He was the winner of OPPI (MNC body in India) Marketing Excellence Award for 3 years in a row for New Product Launches in India. Sanjiv began his career with Hoechst India as a management trainee, and then moved on to look after the Exports business at Hoechst. In 1999, after his return to India, he moved into the role of Project Leader for the formation of Aventis following the merger of Hoechst Marion Roussel and RPR in India. In late 2001 he moved to Aventis Philippines as Supply Chain Head to re-engineer the Supply Chain Function. In 2006, Sanjiv left Sanofi-Aventis and joined Baxter India as Business Unit Director for Renal business in South Asia. Sanjiv holds a Degree in Pharmacy and a Masters Degree in Business Administration. He enjoys reading in his spare time.
